Voted “Best Dessert in the Morongo Basin”… THE MANGO HUT! We battled it out at the sold-out 4th Annual Taste of the Morongo Basin and took home the award for best desserts. Though we only served two of the many items off our dessert menu, we were overwhelmed with the amount of compliments we got for our dessert (and bbq too!). The leche flan was easy to serve, but our purple ube icecream took some convincing. Many (if not all) were absolutely delighted at the surprisingly delicious taste of ube. It was great that we took home a prize, but I think what really made our night, was exposing so many people to the delicious food we grew up with! Good job, Mango Hut fam!

2011 Grubstake Days

The Mango Hut fam brought their Pacific Island dishes to Yucca Valley for a day at the 2011 Annual Grubstake Days Celebration! Check out photos and video of the Mango Hut’s Hula Hunks and Hula Honey performing Pacific Island dances on stage and at the parade! Congrats to the entire Mango Hut crew for winning the first place award for their dance routine!
